Clark Academy is a special education school that caters to day and residential students with clinically complex needs.
This institution offers traditional studies alongside Community-based instruction, Life and vocational classes, and a Transition program designed to provide career development and occupational education.

Growth opportunities On-the-job training Lively atmosphere We are looking for a caring and dedicated individual to join Clark Academy as a Teacher's Aide.
You'll work in close proximity to our educators and you'll take on a number of tasks surrounding school activities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with special education students in a classroom and community environment, possess strong communication skills, able to track student behavior.
While this is primarily a student support role, Teacher's Aides also support school events, classroom management, and collaborative projects during the school day.
Additionally, our staff are proficient in a range of techniques, including RBT, DBT and TCI.
Responsibilities:
Function as a positive, contributing member of the classroom team.
Demonstrates a consistent, nurturing manner toward all children.
Provide support to students during their lesson Performs classroom duties as assigned by the teacher Assists the children throughout the day as directed by the Special Education Teacher or Administrator Supervises assigned child at all times (with the exception of lunch break, meetings and/or training), including during busing and transitional activities.
Shares all relevant information related to assigned child with the teachers, therapy staff and/or psychologist.
Assist in the preparation of materials needed for lesson plans.
Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of classroom, equipment and supplies.
Assist with event planning Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
Be an advocate for students with disabilities Salary Information Salary range:
$22,028 to $27,942 from September to June (10 month contract) Additional 6 weeks of Summer school employment is optional at a per diem rate Requirements High School or GED required 1 year special education experience preferred Required Work Hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:
